Janki Patel, M.B.A.
Janki Patel is the communications project manager in the office of Communications and Public Liaison at NIMHD. She focuses on planning, coordinating, and executing projects within the scope of communication deliverables that promote NIMHD research, training, education, exhibits and/or outreach activities. She manages the internal newsletter, produces feature articles, helps manage web content and social media digital activity, and supports photography.
Ms. Patel comes to NIMHD with a wealth of experience in marketing and public relations. Most recently, she worked at the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, where she developed marketing and public relations project plans for Children, Youth, and Families Services. Prior to that, she worked at the Maryland Department of Health as a program coordinator and marketing and communications coordinator, and she led the development of program messaging and platforms to raise awareness of the Health Care Reform Act. She served as a primary copywriter, led direct digital campaigns, and developed strategic outreach series to raise positive awareness of programs.
Ms. Patel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology and a human biology degree from Temple University. She also has a Master of Business Administration degree in pharmaceutical and healthcare business management from University of the Sciences.
