This initiative will support health services and intervention research projects to understand and reduce racial/ethnic, geographic, and socioeconomic HIV disparities in US women.

Mechanisms of HIV-Associated Co-Morbidities Among Populations Experiencing Health Disparities

This initiative will support research to examine how multiple HIV-associated co-morbidities add to the complexity of HIV disease progression and treatment outcomes among populations experiencing health disparities.

Collaborative Minority Health and Health Disparities Research with Tribal Epidemiology Centers (TEC)

This initiative supports collaborative research between Tribal Epidemiology Centers (TEC) and external investigators on topics related to minority health and health disparities in American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) populations.

NIMHD Specialized Centers of Excellence for Research on Minority Health and Health Disparities

This program supports specialized research centers to conduct multidisciplinary research, research training, and community engagement activities focused on improving minority health or reducing health disparities.
