Program Agenda
The 2012 Science of Eliminating Health Disparities Summit promises to be a stimulating, and thought-provoking learning experience bringing together federal, non-federal, and international partners from multiple disciplines and sectors, involved in a wide-array of activities to achieve health equity in building a healthier global society. The official opening of the Summit, will take place on December 17th featuring key leaders within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, a special honor to Former Congressman Stokes, followed by a keynote address and plenary sessions with international presenters, before breaking into an afternoon of concurrent sessions. On December 18th, the Summit continues with concurrent sessions, followed by plenary sessions focused on the prevention strategy for the United States. The afternoon will conclude with a town hall forum of distinguished leaders and experts on health disparities, with the opportunity for the audience to dialogue and share recommendations on actions to accelerate the pace towards eliminating health disparities. On December 19th, the Summit will open with a final set of concurrent sessions and workshops, before concluding with a keynote address.
