Individual Fellowship Grants

NIMHD supports fellowships under the National Research Service Award program for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

F30 – Ruth L. Kirschstein Individual Predoctoral NRSA for M.D./Ph.D. and Other Dual Degree Fellowships
F30 fellowships provide individual support for predoctoral training that leads to the combined M.D./Ph.D. and other dual clinical/research degrees.

F31 – Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award
F31 fellowships provide predoctoral students with supervised research training in specified health and health-related areas leading toward the research doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D.).

F32 fellowships support postdoctoral research training to individuals to broaden their scientific background and extend their potential for research in specified health-related areas.
