Research Collaborations
Partnerships conducted and supported by NIMHD have created innovative studies into how to promote screening for breast, prostate, and pancreatic cancers; eliminate barriers to clinical trial recruitment; deliver mental health services; and much more.
Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development’s Add Health Study
The study examines how social scenarios and behaviors in adolescence are linked to health and achievement outcomes in young adulthood.
National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases’ Osteoarthritis Initiative (OAI)
OAI aims to develop a public-domain research resource to facilitate the scientific evaluation of biomarkers for osteoarthritis as potential surrogate endpoints for disease onset and progression.
Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study
The ABCD Study will enroll 10,000+ healthy children and follow them from ages 9 to 10 into early adulthood to understand how children’s experiences affect brain development.
