Guest Speaker Bio - Dr. Scott Rhodes
Dr. Scott Rhodes, PhD, MPH, is professor and vice chair in the Department of Social Science and Health Policy at the Wake Forest School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, NC. His research focuses on health promotion and disease prevention among Latinos and other vulnerable populations using authentic approaches to empowerment and community-based participatory research (CBPR). Specifically, his research explores sexual health; immigration policy, and health disparities. Dr. Rhodes has extensive experience working with Latino communities (including both women and men); adolescents; persons living with HIV; men of color; self-identified gay and bisexual men; and men who have sex with men (MSM).
