Edgar Dews is the visual information specialist for the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD). He creates graphics for multimedia projects – including promotional materials, publication layouts, and captures both still and video photography. He is skilled in both project management and mass communication strategy. Mr. Dews also serves as the 508-compliance coordinator, ensuring documents and multimedia projects are remediated in accordance with the law, and as the brand ambassador for the Institute.
Mr. Dews has extensive communications experience which spans across a wide variety of media. Prior to joining NIMHD, he worked for CBS Broadcasting, Booz Allen Hamilton, and the Democratic National Committee. His products have aired on ABC-TV, PBS, Comcast Cable, CBS Broadcasting, ESPN, BET, Disney/ABC Television Group, TV-One, Radio One, and Infinity Broadcasting, amongst others.
