Nora Wong is a Legislative Liaison/Health Science Policy Analyst in NIMHD’s Office of Science Policy, Planning, Evaluation, and Reporting. She is responsible for planning, analyzing, conducting outreach, and providing oversight on all legislative and Congressional affairs for NIMHD.

Previously, Ms. Wong was a health science policy analyst and project manager for the Office of Program Planning and Analysis at the National Eye Institute (NEI) where she contributed to and led activities in legislative affairs, strategic planning, policy evaluation, and research analytics related to vision and eye research. While at NEI, she completed short-term assignments on a legislative and policy analyst detail at the National Library of Medicine and as an HHS health liaison to the Federal Emergency Management Agency for national COVID-19 public health response efforts.

Before NIH, Ms. Wong was a senior associate with the Pew Charitable Trusts where she served as a policy researcher evaluating the public health impacts of antibiotic resistance. Nora also held various roles at the U.S. Military HIV Research Program conducting epidemiological assessments and managing laboratory diagnostics and operations.

Ms. Wong received a B.S. in microbiology from the University of Maryland, College Park and an MPH in environmental health science and policy from the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.
