Jarrett A. Johnson, DrPH, MS, CHES

Dr. Jarrett Johnson is interested in utilizing health education and health promotion strategies to positively impact health outcomes for populations that experience health disparities. He is particularly interested in novel, multilevel, community-based approaches that seek to address health disparities across the continuum of care for immigrant and African descent populations.

Sunny Grimes

Sunny Grimes is an administrative assistant within NIMHD’s Office of Administrative Management in the Administrative Services Branch. She assists the administrative officers on the practical and technical aspects of office administration, including budgeting, human resources, office automation, training, timekeeping, and travel.

Ms. Grimes began her career at the NIH as the executive assistant to the director of the Office of Surgeon Scientist Programs at the National Cancer Institute then moved to an executive assistant role for the chief of the Urologic Oncology Branch.

Carolina Solis Sanabria, M.D., MPH, FACS

Dr. Carolina Solis Sanabria is a program official in the Division of Clinical and Health Services Research and a board-certified general surgeon with a focus on surgical disparities, global health and general surgery. She has done work in Nicaragua evaluating surgical capacity in Ministry of Health hospitals as well as surgical outcomes research in emergency and general surgery. She also has interests in immigrant, rural and Hispanic health.

Pooja Sangha, M.H.S.

Pooja Sangha is a scientific policy analyst at NIMHD’s Office of Science Policy, Planning, Evaluation, and Reporting (OSPPER). She contributes to the data, analytics, and evaluation activities of OSPPER by conducting various data analyses to assess NIH’s research in minority health and health disparities.

Essence Motley, M.P.H.

Essence Motley is a health science policy analyst in NIMHD’s Office of Science Policy, Planning, Evaluation, and Reporting. She is responsible for Executive Secretariat functions, such as managing correspondence on behalf of the NIMHD Director and Deputy Director, assisting with various congressional and legislative activities, and engaging with public and congressional stakeholder groups.
