Kirt Phillip

Kirt Phillip is a Senior Administrative Officer within NIMHD’s Office of Administrative Management Administrative Services Branch. Kirt, a native of the islands of Trinidad and Tobago, grew up in Queens, New York, and spent his summers in the Caribbean, where he gained his love for cooking and the importance of family. Kirt moved to Maryland after attending St. John’s University in Queens, where he pursued a degree in mathematics.

Ranae Johnson

Ms. Ranae Johnson is an administrative officer in the Office of Administrative Management at NIMHD. She provides comprehensive management of administrative services, including technical and advisory services in financial management, procurement, facility management, travel services, and other administrative functions.

Tim Kerns

Tim Kerns is NIMHD’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the Office of Administrative Management. He oversees the management of information technology functions, conducts strategic planning, and supervises IT staff for the Institute.

Kristen Hamilton-Moseley, Ph.D.

Dr. Kristen Hamilton-Moseley is a staff scientist in the Division of Intramural Research. She investigates mechanisms by which psychological, biological, and environmental factors influence alcohol and tobacco use. Dr. Hamilton-Moseley is a member of the Tobacco Related Disparities & Control (TRDC) lab, which is led by Dr. Kelvin Choi. Prior to joining NIMHD, she was a faculty member in the Psychology Department at the University of Maryland, where she studied stress, impulsivity, and substance abuse in young adults. Dr.

Arielle Gillman, Ph.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Arielle Gillman is a Social and Behavioral Sciences Administrator (Program Officer) in the Division of Integrative Biological and Behavioral Sciences at NIMHD. Dr. Gillman is trained as a social health psychologist. Her research focuses on understanding the cognitive and affective psychological processes that influence motivation, decision making, engagement, and maintenance for health-related behaviors. Her work has investigated these processes in several health contexts, including exercise, genetic testing, cancer treatment decisions, and substance use.

Utibe Bickham-Wright, Ph.D., PMP

Dr. Utibe Bickham-Wright is a Social and Behavioral Scientist Administrator (Program Official) in the Division of Integrative Biological and Behavioral Sciences. Her work promotes the understanding of adverse health outcomes in healthy individuals and populations on topics including genomics, epigenomics, proteomics and maternal health. Dr. Bickham-Wright also supports career development programs.

Rina Das, Ph.D.

Dr. Rina Das serves as Director of the Division of Integrative Biological and Behavioral Sciences at NIMHD. She leads the division in promoting research to understand and address the various factors that play a role in health disparities among different populations. She lends her expertise to a wide array of NIMHD programs that seek to improve minority health and health disparities, including translational sciences, cancer health disparities, research on integration of biological and social sciences, social epigenomics, community-based interventions, and sleep health.
