Lynne S. Padgett, Ph.D., FAPOS

Dr. Lynne Padgett is a program director in the Division of Clinical and Health Services Research at NIMHD and a licensed psychologist. Her research interests include disability health outcomes, delivery of care in palliative and end-of-life care, aging and older adults including cognitive impairment and maintaining independence, caregiving, disparities in outcomes of cancer survivors, disability and rehabilitation care delivery outcomes and models.

Xinli Nan, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Xinli Nan is a scientific review officer in the Scientific Review Branch of the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD). Dr. Nan shares responsibility for planning and conducting initial scientific and technical merit reviews of all grant applications and contract proposals that are assigned to the NIMHD Scientific Review Branch.

Rada K. Dagher, Ph.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Rada Dagher is a scientific program director at NIMHD. She manages a comprehensive portfolio of research, capacity building, and training grants and is a project scientist on several cooperative agreement awards. Dr. Dagher is the NIMHD coordinator for the NIH Research Coordinating Committee on Social Determinants of Health.

Paul Cotton, Ph.D., RDN

Dr. Paul Cotton is the Director of NIMHD’s Office of Extramural Research Activities. He advises on and manages science policy and program activities related to extramural administrative management, scientific management, and scientific initiatives, and is responsible for the development and implementation of policies for managing research awards and overseeing research training policies, as well as supporting other research initiatives.

Olga Herren, Ph.D.

Olga Herren, Ph.D., is a Social Behavioral Scientist Administrator (Program Official) at NIMHD. She focuses on promoting research that expands understanding of multilevel determinants of health behaviors and how populations are differentially impacted, driving disparities in health processes and outcomes. She provides expertise in conducting minority health and health disparities research in behavioral health, biopsychosocial determinants of health, cognition, liver disease, obesity, and cancer risk.

Deborah Linares, Ph.D., M.A

Dr. Deborah Linares is a Supervisory Health Scientist Administrator (Program Official) and the Team Lead for the Integrative Behavioral and Psychosocial Sciences Team. She focuses on promoting research to understand behavioral and interpersonal factors contributing to resilience and susceptibility to adverse health conditions among populations experiencing health disparities. Prior to joining NIMHD, Dr.

Luca Calzoni, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Luca Calzoni is a supervisory health scientist administrator/program officer in the Division of Community Health and Population Science. He provides leadership, technical supervision, and scientific guidance for research infrastructure innovation. Dr. Calzoni's expertise extends to social determinants of health and developing data science programs for research organizations, emphasizing the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions into researcher/clinician workflows.

Floyd Crawford

Mr. Floyd Crawford is an administrative technician in the Office of Administrative Management (OAM) at NIMHD. He assists the OAM Chief Administrative Officer on the practical and technical aspects of office administration, to include procurement, budget, human resources, office automation, training, timekeeping, and travel, and performs support work in each of these areas.

Yewande Oladeinde, Ph.D.

Dr. Yewande Oladeinde is a Social and Behavioral Science Administrator (Program Official) in the Division of Clinical and Health Services Research at NIMHD. Her research focuses on understanding the role culture plays in shaping people’s perceptions of health and illness, and how it influences their choices and their behaviors, with a goal of implementing culturally and contextually appropriate interventions.
